PIH Health Hospital – Whittier: Plaza Tower is a new construction of a 237,750 sq. ft., 6-story OSHPD hospital. It consists of offices, 112 patient beds, bringing the hospital total to 548 beds and lower level surgery center; with 22 pre-op stations, 26 recovery stations, 2 cath labs, 2 special procedure rooms, 1 Cysto room, 9 operating rooms with Laminar Flow 100% HEPA filtered air. This building is linked by a corridor to all levels of the Perry Pavilion and Shannon Tower.  Pacific Rim Mechanical’s scope includes HVAC and plumbing. The infrastructure to support this building includes 6 AHUs, 20 FCUs, 1 back-up chiller for surgery, heating hot water system, chilled water loop, MP & LP steam with associated humidifiers, domestic hot and cold water piping, and entire medical gas system for patient use which operates independently from the central plant.
