Illumina’s new World Headquarters was an entire campus project consisting of major renovation of three buildings and a new 4-story tower. The 450,000 sq. ft., design-assist project included labs, an extensive Solvent Delivery System, research spaces, administrative spaces, conference rooms, seminar and board room facilities and an upgrade to an existing central plant to accommodate the expansion.

The scope included HVAC (including air handling units), plumbing, complete hot water Hydronic System, and high purity process piping system for a chemical solvent delivery system for their heart of the research. Solvent delivery system included approximately 2,700 linear-feet of orbitally welded clean for oxygen stainless steel piping, 4,000 gallon stainless steel waste holding tank with complete instrumentation and automation system. The central plant building included an addition of a 800-ton centrifugal chiller with pumps and a cooling tower with a filtration skid.
