SAN DIEGO, CA — (October 2025)

Pacific Rim Mechanical has opened its newly constructed piping fabrication facility in Poway, California, marking a major step forward in the company’s prefabrication and digital construction capabilities.

The new facility houses dedicated carbon steel, copper, and stainless-steel shops and serves as a central hub for offloading, cutting, welding, assembly, and detailing operations. Designed for efficiency and collaboration, it brings Pac Rim’s entire fabrication process under one roof.

As part of this expansion, Pac Rim has implemented Stratus software across a plethora of dedicated workstations to enhance digital coordination and workflow visibility. The new system allows teams to rotate and measure models, resolve questions directly at the workstation, and provide live updates accessible to both detailing and field teams — all while advancing the company’s goal of becoming 100% paperless

“Our investment in this facility and Stratus technology stems from a clear market need for smarter, more efficient fabrication,” said John Heusner, President & CEO. “By digitizing every step of the process, we’re not only improving how we build but helping advance the entire industry.”

The Poway facility represents Pacific Rim Mechanical’s continued investment in innovation, technology, and craftsmanship — ensuring precise, high-quality builds for its clients across Southern California and beyond.
